1988 – The Idea

Sigrid Feyferlik discovers modern cloth diapers in Canada and wants to bring the eco-friendly product to Austria.

1991 – Founding & First Shops

Opening of the first “PoPoLiNo Windelhaus” (Diaper House) stores in Austria. The first cloth diapers are imported from Japan, Canada, and the USA.

1993 – First In-House Cloth Diaper

Positive customer feedback inspires the development of the first popolini cloth diaper in Europe. Materials are consistently switched to organic quality.

1995 – Start of In-House Production

popolini takes over a decommissioned textile site in Tiszalök, Hungary. The existing know-how is used to establish its own fair production facility.

2000s – Expansion of the Product Range

In addition to cloth diapers, organic children's clothing under the name iobio and home textiles are now also developed – all fairly and eco-consciously produced in Europe.

2020 – Next Generation

Daughter Viktoria Feyferlik-Niermann takes over management – as a mother of three, she leads the family business into the future.

Today – Europe-wide Presence

popolini products are available in numerous shops across Europe. Many of the first “popolini babies” are now using popolini for their own children – for the next generation.
