Our Materials – Naturally Sustainable from the Start

Cotton – The All-Rounder for Everyday Comfort
Cotton is our most-used natural fibre – strong, breathable, and reliable. It’s easy to care for, soft against the skin, and absorbs moisture efficiently. Because it can be washed and ironed at high temperatures, cotton is also especially hygienic – ideal for babies and young children.
We use certified organic cotton, grown without synthetic pesticides, fertilisers, or defoliants. This lowers the risk of skin irritation and makes our textiles especially suitable for sensitive baby skin.
Wool – Natural Warmth and Clever Climate Control
Soft, cosy, and naturally regulating – wool and merino wool are perfect for year-round comfort. Their unique fibre structure provides warmth in winter and breathability in summer. Thanks to natural lanolin (wool wax), wool is also odour-neutralising, self-cleaning, and mildly antibacterial.
Our organic wool comes from farms that practise species-appropriate and ethical animal husbandry, and is strictly mulesing-free.

Silk – Natural Fibre for Sensitive Skin
Silk is the finest and lightest natural fibre we use – yet it’s incredibly strong and elastic. It absorbs moisture without feeling wet and has natural thermoregulating properties, helping to keep your child’s skin comfortable in every season.
Our bourette silk, made from remaining cocoon fibres, contains natural antimicrobial substances that are known to be calming and anti-inflammatory – ideal for babies with sensitive or irritated skin.
We guarantee that our silk is 100% free from insecticides and pesticides.
Synthetic Fibres – For Extra Strength Where It Matters
To enhance durability and functionality, a few of our textiles contain carefully selected synthetic fibres like polyester, elastane, polyurethane resin, or phthalate-free polypropylene. These ensure that cloth nappies and other high-use items retain their shape, elasticity, and lifespan.
The proportion of each fibre is clearly listed in our detailed product descriptions.

Packaging – Sustainable from Product to Parcel
We strive to avoid unnecessary packaging wherever we can. However, to keep our textiles safe during their journey – often across Europe – some protective materials are essential. Our packaging is predominantly made from recycled paper and cardboard.
Cloth nappy sets come in practical reusable fabric bags, and GOTS-certified items are packed in plastic sleeves free from harmful plasticisers to prevent contamination in transit. We are constantly working to optimise our packaging solutions in line with ecological standards.
